DD-2875
System Authorization Access Request (SAAR) — multi-part digital form with approval workflow
About this example
DD-2875: an example of what's possible on the Kinetic Platform
DD-2875 is one of 48+ working applications in Kinetic AI Labs — a portfolio of example apps built on the Kinetic Platform to show how quickly real, production-grade software can be assembled when the platform handles workflow execution, data, identity, and integrations. These applications are not commercial products. They are reference implementations: live demonstrations of department of defense use cases that customers and partners can study, fork, or use as starting points for their own builds.
What this application does
A complete digital implementation of the DD Form 2875, System Authorization Access Request (SAAR). The form walks requestors through five sections: Part I captures user information (DOD ID, name, organization, branch, clearance level), Part II defines the system and access type being requested with justification, Part III records security clearance and investigation details, Part IV collects supervisor and IAM approvals, and Part V provides a review before submission. Built to replace the paper DD-2875 process with a governed, auditable digital workflow.

Key capabilities
What DD-2875 demonstrates about building on the Kinetic Platform.
5-Part Guided Form
Step-by-step form matching the official DD-2875 structure — User Information, System & Access, Security Clearance, Approvals, and Review.
Approval Workflow
Supervisor and Information Assurance Manager approval chain with signature dates and status tracking.
Field Validation
Required fields, format validation, and dropdown selections ensure complete and accurate submissions.
Audit Trail
Complete record of form access, edits, submissions, and approval actions.

What this example demonstrates
Why DD-2875 matters as a reference implementation
DD-2875 shows how a department of defense application can be built on a workflow orchestration layer instead of a custom-coded stack. The screens you see above are not mockups — they are full Kinetic forms, tables, dashboards, and views, wired into deterministic workflows that run the underlying business logic.
Because every example in AI Labs runs on the same Kinetic Platform instance, they share one workflow engine, one identity model, one integration layer, and one audit trail. That means the patterns proven in DD-2875 — 5-part guided form, approval workflow, and the rest of its capabilities — transfer directly into customer environments without re-platforming.
Built on Kinetic
Same platform, every application
DD-2875 runs on the same Kinetic Platform instance as every other AI Labs example. Same workflow engine. Same security model. Same integration layer. DD-2875 is a working illustration of how quickly a production-ready application can be built when the platform handles the hard parts — workflow execution, data management, role-based access, and audit trails.
