Kinetic Data User Group Conference Highlighted the Transformative Impact of Technology on Business Processes

Sessions focused on the management and implementation of business service management tools as shared by both customers and company executives

ST. PAUL, Minn. (March 12, 2012)—Kinetic Data’s (www.kineticdata.com) inaugural user group conference brought clients together to discuss the challenges each faces in delivering immediate and long-term IT business value across their enterprises. Held Feb. 29–March 2, 2012 in Denver, the Kinetic Enthusiasts Group (KEG) provided information on both the management and implementation of Kinetic Data’s business service management (BSM) tools. For more than 15 years, Kinetic Data, a provider of third-party tools for the BMC Remedy platform, has been empowering companies with the technology to free themselves from process inefficiencies.

“We launched the user group conference as a way for our clients to come together and celebrate what they’ve accomplished inside their organizations,” said John Sundberg, president, Kinetic Data. “We’ve seen a number of amazing ways that some of them have extended the value and capabilities of their existing systems throughout the entire enterprise with our software, and having them share those experiences with others is the best way we can think of to enhance the value of their investment.”

The celebration and preparation began with a keynote address by Jeff Kaplan, founder and managing director of THINKstrategies, on the market forces that are driving the rapid adoption of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and Cloud-based solutions and the business benefits that can be derived from these rapidly evolving capabilities.

In his presentation, Kaplan emphasized how “the Cloud and special-purpose applications are spreading corporate data to the four corners of the enterprise, whether we like it or not.”

Following the keynote presentation, sessions focused on what organizations need to be prepared for to keep up with rapidly evolving enterprise capabilities, including security, programming, compliance, performance, and risk, as well as an array of new product capabilities to get to the enterprise data and automate the actions—from Kinetic Bundles, KURL, and Kinetic Bridging to Task Handlers. All available presentations are posted on Kinetic Community.
