Kinetic Data Sees Robust Revenue Results in Thin Economy

Developer of BSM tools tripled product sales in Q2, with June sales nearly five times higher in 2009 than previous year.

ST. PAUL, Minn.—Aug. 26, 2009—Kinetic Data (http://www.kineticdata.com), the leading provider of third-party business service management (BSM) tools built on the BMC Remedy Action Request (AR) System platform, announced today that the company is experiencing record-breaking sales revenues this year. The month of June in particular had sales that were five times higher than the same period in 2008.

“In an economy still struggling toward recovery, we’re savoring the moment and not taking it for granted,” said John Sundberg, Kinetic Data president. “We sold more product in June 2009 than we did in the entire first half of 2008.” Sundberg attributes the company’s success—at least in part—to a partner program that has matured over the last three years and includes some of the top-performing BMC resellers across the globe.

June sales included both new customers and existing customers. Two deals were to federal government agencies through Kinetic Data’s U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) contract, which authorizes the company to provide software products, support, training and consulting services to the U.S. federal government.

Kinetic Data software applications are built on the BMC Remedy AR System platform and require no separate management system or integration effort. The applications enable BMC customers to leverage their IT investment throughout the entire enterprise.

Kinetic Request is the only request management portal software that lets nontechnical personnel design and automatically manage their own processes and approvals for internal service and equipment requests, without relying on IT.

Kinetic Survey is the only process-driven survey management software built on BMC Remedy; and

Kinetic Calendar is the only actionable online calendar tool built on BMC Remedy. The software may be used in any part of an organization that fulfills service requests—including IT, HR, facilities and other service-delivery-oriented groups.

Earlier this year, Kinetic Data announced results for the fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2008, in which product revenues increased more than 100 percent over 2007. These results showed a continued trend of doubling year-over-year revenues, which started in 2003.
